  1. Focus on helping @5 realize that the            '
  2. behavior you want stopped is inappropriate,     '
  3. unfair or unworthy.                             '

  5. Children have a good, if somewhat immature,     '
  6. sense of what is right and what it wrong.  But, '
  7. often things are right or wrong or sometimes    '
  8. marginal shades of grey.  Casting the inappro-  '
  9. priate behavior firmly in the wrong category,   '
  10. will often eliminated it.                       '

  12.          STOPPING UNDESIRABLE BEHAVIOR          '
  13.                                                 '
  14. All children like to have a sense that what they'
  15. do fits the situation or the provocation, as the'
  16. case may be.  You, with your greater range of   '
  17. experience, can often demonstrate how a partic- '
  18. ular behavior does not fit inspite of what      '
  19. @3 thinks.  Don't be hesitant to do so.         '

  22.   *  What is actually wrong or inappropriate    '
  23.      about this behavior?                       '
  24.   *  What is to best way to communicate that    '
  25.      to @5?                                     '
